In real life, most of you know me as Mike Beattie. I live and work in Pittsburgh after spending a significant amount of time at Carnegie Mellon (4 years undergraduate, 3 years graduate). Now, I work for a local startup company and have a little more time to cook dinners, host parties, and (most recently) bake bread.
This blog is all about what happens when I come home from work. My goals are to post both reviews of my Pittsburgh dining experiences and some of the lessons I learn in my own culinary adventures (i.e., cooking and baking attempts of my own). I hope that other culinary geeks in The ‘Burgh can get some new dining ideas: that’s really the main contribution of any blog of this type. Any other content is really just for my own amusement.
